Responsible for Load Capacity on complete vehicle level for FH/FM/FMx products.
This will require to be active early in the change initiative to impact solutions on components or systems.
You will be responsible for our weight road map, keep it up to date, communicate road map as well as propose changes to improve the load capacity.
Lead our weight network which will mean interaction with a lot of people on site as well as on other sites.
Job description and responsibility
Cross functional work with mainly engineers and geometrical architects to give them right pre-requisites for their work in projects, this role supports all areas within GTT and in some cases supporting other AB Volvo business areas.
Some experience from working with weight, & material
Familiar with and be able to navigate in the legal requirements as well as the Volvo internal standards and design guidelines.
Automotive experience is a plus as well as experience from working with AB Volvo.
Typical work tasks
Lead our weight network meeting to find weight reduction ideas, initiate the ideas and monitor implementation.
Lead our work with weight roadmap.
Lead our weight architects in their work to collect and monitor weight development and give input to the road map.
Support engineers in material and installation questions for a component or system.
Competitor analysis.
Performance review, i.e. review target fulfilment of Load Capacity.
Personal profile:
This position will require daily communication with a large number of people and therefore we need a person that have an open attitude in meeting new people and can build your network to get the job done.
You have an interest to learn and develop yourself as well as the people around you.
Goal oriented and communication skills is needed to get the job done.
