Heart is targeting type certification of the ES-30 by the end of the decade.
Your mission
The mandate for the Design Reliability organization is to facilitate the development of safe aircraft and systems, while meeting performance, schedule, and resource targets. All employees at Heart have a shared responsibility to ensure we are building safe vehicles, and the Design Reliability group will play a crucial role in supporting teams with tools and training to achieve this.
As our first Engineering Lead in the Design Reliability organization, you will help ensure our aircraft meet or exceed design requirements by developing processes, internal tools, training material, requirements and validation methods, and by working with teams across the engineering organization. You will work directly with teams on safety analysis projects, and you will also support the growth of the Design Reliability team through recruiting activities and employee development.
You will report to the CTO and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
- People leader with a compliance mindset, strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams
- 10 years experience within the aerospace industry, including the conceptual and preliminary design phase
- Direct experience with safety and system safety engineering
- Experience with aircraft certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)
- Working knowledge of systems & safety engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)
- Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-178 & 254)
- Experience with functional hazard analyses, fault tree analyses, common cause analyses and particular risk analyses
- Direct experience with reliability & maintainability engineering, within an approved design organization
- Knowledge of reliability analysis & predictions, FMEA and MSG-3
- Proficiency coordinating activities of engineers internally, partner supplier companies and authorities
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
