About the Job
As the Lead Data Scientist at Alleima IT, you will manage and optimize the data processes that power our advanced AI models. Your role is essential in preprocessing, analyzing, and engineering features to enhance the accuracy and performance of our AI systems. You will collaborate closely with the AI team to develop solutions that accelerate Alleima's business objectives.
Responsibilities
Data Management: Oversee the collection, preprocessing, and analysis of large datasets, particularly text-heavy data for RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) setups.
Feature Engineering: Innovate and apply feature engineering techniques to improve model accuracy and effectiveness.
Statistical Analysis and Machine Learning: Utilize your deep knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyze data and refine model predictions.
NLP Implementation: Employ proficiency in Natural Language Processing to process and interpret extensive collections of text data, crucial for RAG-based solutions.
Collaborative Solution Development: Work in tandem with the AI team to integrate data insights into practical AI solutions that support and propel Alleima's business strategies.
You do not shy away from leading trainings and workshops, and for the right person this role has potential to grow into project management and driving implementation initiatives within the area.

About You
We are seeking a data expert with:
Extensive knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms. (experience in LLMs and generative AI is a strong advantage).
Knowledge of best practices for software development and data organization, experience with Agile working methods and DevOps
Good Python programming skills and knowledge of the main data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, etc.)
Experience from managing Lakehouse architecture and large datasets
Experience from combining generative AI and retrieval of relevant data to ground e.g., LLM:s in RAG pattern
Experience with cloud technologies (ideally Microsoft Azure)
Expertise in Natural Language Processing and familiar with major data science toolkits and libraries

Additionally, you have the ability to identify opportunities within our operations as well as present and explain potential solutions to different stakeholders in an easy-to-understand way.
