As a Battery Production Laser Welding Engineer, you will play a key role in securing flawless introductions of new processes, ensuring Design for Assembly (DFA) perspectives, and managing critical interfaces between production, research & development (R&D), and our stakeholders across Scania and Traton. You will leverage your expertise in laser welding, robot cells, and industrial production to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in our battery production processes.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize laser welding processes for battery assembly, ensuring high quality and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to integrate new technologies and designs into production processes.
• Lead projects to implement and scale up laser welding solutions in battery manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align on production goals and standards.
• You will be part of Series production of battery module line (Local Technical Org.) & implementing projects in this Highly automated battery module line aligning with the Global team.
Your background:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in laser welding, robot cells, and industrial production environments.
• Strong background in battery manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
• Communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
