Product Development Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, drive line, acoustic and system testing.
Within Product Development Laboratory we are today focusing on increased effectiveness, future investments and we are implementing Volvo production System. In this phase we are looking for a Lab systems, Senior development engineer.
Job Description:
Department 91650 Technical Development, consists of 21 employees and approximately 15 consultants and is now looking for a Lab systems, Senior development engineer.
Our role in the Product Development Laboratory is to drive the technical development to be able to meet new demands in testing of engines, transmissions and complete drivelines. The group carry out method and technical assignments and develop the investment plans for new technical equipment and complete test cells at the Product Development Laboratory.
As a Lab systems, Senior development engineer you will be responsible for:
Analysing new and changed legislations and identify the necessary adaptations in the lab environment to comply with the regulations
Develop specifications for lab systems with focus on automation systems and data evaluations applications
Develop formulas as input for data evaluation application
Advise for difficult failure tracing in the test cell systems
Take part in method- and technical development projects and advise other engineers within the team
Qualifications:
MSc.or PhD in Electrical- or Mechanical Engineering
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Min of 10 years experience from working in automotive or equivalent lab environment and good understanding for internal customer?s needs
Experience from method development and complex failure tracing for lab systems.
You have an analytical mind and structured approach for problem solving in your advising function
