The Role:
We're seeking a recent graduate mechanical or industrial engineer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in improving our procurement strategies across various categories, ensuring they align with Koenigsegg's goals and deliver maximum value.
The Project Purchaser will be part of the Category team as well as the Project teams and be responsible for the time, quality and cost competitive supply strategy, supply selection (from approved suppliers list), and other ongoing management of project purchasing tasks in accordance with Koenigsegg policies, processes, and tools. Managing the sourcing process from initial concept and design verification, prototype phase, and finalize the supply plan and secure serial production implementation. A positive yet critical review of the process and contribution to make it more effective is required. The role will ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Engaging with design in the early stages of a project to ensure the Sub-category team are aware of the project scope and that Strategic purchasers have the necessary time to consider the project requirements to ensure alignment in good time.
- Working with the Engineering and Design teams to define and agree the supplier engagement, according to the design requirement, project timing, and category strategies to engage suppliers at the optimum point onto a project whilst ensuring the best possible commercial agreement can be achieved.
- Supporting Engineering teams with feedback about design implications on cost is imperative using initial supplier feedback or cost estimations (i.e. using own cost calculations or data from cost breakdowns from suppliers) to advise as to the optimal design considering production volumes and supplier location. This includes agreeing cost targets and presenting 'should cost' information to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Leading and following up all supplier activities in the project; quality, cost and time. Coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure activities are concluded in good time or identifying and resolving timing slippage, escalating issues as appropriate. (For example, defining and agreeing timing plans, arranging reviews, supplier visits, expediting responses between suppliers and engineers, keeping MoM and decision log)

Ensuring the orders for Design Verification sample parts, prototype parts and production parts are placed in good time and that parts arrive in good time according to the project test plan and according to the defined design condition.

Reporting on the status and issues to Supply Chain Project Leader and Engineering and if required to the Category Manager/Strategic purchaser.

Issuance of complete and accurate RFQ including production intent designs and specifications, RFQ evaluation (include the landed cost in business case.)

Lead and participate in improvement project, includes writing routines and processes

Bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Strong interest in procurement and the supply chain, particularly within the automotive industry.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (Monitor or equivalent).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
