IT Representative to Internationella Engelska Skolan in Örebro
IES Örebro is seeking a driven and passionate IT Representative. As an IT Representative you will work closely with the students, teachers and support staff, as well as, be part of the Administration Team. You believe in IES' values and ethos and think that a safe and orderly environment is the key for learning. You believe in each child and are interested in finding solutions for every given situation. As a person you are calm and reliable, but at the same time firm.
You will be responsible for the development and the day to day operation of our IT environment. If you are interested in joining our team, this presents an excellent opportunity for you. You will work closely with the Administrative Coordinator and the Administrative team. The IT Representative shall have a clear, positive, and respectful line of communication with the students in order to support and guide them as well as parents and external contractors.
100% Fulltime.
Responsibilities include:
• Implementing and following the IES central IT policy
• Maintaining existing IT systems
• Managing student and staff Chromebooks using Google Workspace
• Providing user support within different IT systems (i.e. Google Workspace, SchoolSoft)
• Repairing broken Chromebooks
• Training staff to use existing and future IT products and services.
• Driving the development of the school through IT solutions
• Managing various webpages, including the staff intranet and a section of Engelska Skolans main website
• Preparing a yearly procurement of devices for both new students and new staff alongside the School Economist
• Onboarding new staff members
• Updating and maintaining the IT inventory
• Liaising with service providers to resolve daily service issues
Knowledge
• Strong understanding of the IES vision, ethos and values
Skills
• Experience working in a team
• Bilingual with English and Swedish(preferred but not essential)
• Experience working with Google services (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc...)
• Troubleshooting both hardware and software related issues
• Basic customer service skills
As you will be a member of a dynamic school team, you will be expected to take part in school activities, interact with students and parents, and be a true IES Örebro ambassador.
