hela Sverige EDI team within Group IT is a global team in charge of the EDI deliveries for Volvo Group, gathering and prioritizing needs of new development or roll-out of existing services, and ensure that the Business needs are full filled.
Role mission & context
The IT Architect EDI - is leading and coordinate activities from an architectural point of view for the sub-portfolio EDI & Business Integration. The main purpose of this role is to contribute in projects as well as coordinating maintenance together with our runtime partner HCL. The IT Architect EDI work within Solution Center PRD Architecture&Common Solutions, EDI. You will also support the related BSPM in roadmap and capability/heat map activities.
You contribute to the overall Volvo Group service strategy, operate in a global context, having numerous of interfaces to other functions within Group IT, and other IT stakeholders within Volvo Group. Volvo Group see a growth in this area for the future.
Core Responsibilities:
The IT Architect EDI:
• Responsible for securing overall architectural compliance in line with delegated responsibilities
• Authority to take decisions in accordance with EA framework
• Perform EA Certifications and EA Reviews within the sub-portfolio
• Resolve architectural issues escalated from projects and solutions
• Secure excellent IT architectural competence for the concerned solutions and projects
• Drive implementation of solution roadmaps in line with the target architecture for the sub-portfolio
• Be the main interface between the EDI team, other IT Architects and PRD Solutions Head IT Architect and the application developers involved in projects and maintenance deliveries
• Support the Solution Leaders and Solution Experts with identifying and performing optimization activities
• Act as or support Lead Architects in projects
• Provide technical expertise for other stakeholders during staffing process
• Knows the EDI standards existing globally for B2B integrations
• Support solutions of end to end integrations according to principles and EDI guidelines

Required Competencies:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar approved experience.
• Work experience as IT architect and within integration area
• Knowledge of the EDI area in general
• Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement
• Knowledge of standard protocols and middleware used for external and internal integrations
• Complete proficiency in English is a requirement
Minimum Education Required:
• University degree or similar
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
• Minimum 3 years of EDI experience
