Right now, I'm looking for an IP Configuration Engineer to join our team Telia Carrier in Stockholm. As an IP Configuration Engineer, you'll be part of Telia Carrier's Service Configuration team which is a unit within the Service Delivery department.
Service Delivery team mission statement: To be the dedicated engine responsible for delivering all network related orders across multiple product portfolios/technologies whilst securing customer experience by providing concise communication throughout the delivery cycle aligned to measurable and visible lead times to ensure that we deliver right first time - every time.
What is Service Configuration and what do we do? Enable best customer experience by providing technical support and timely service configuration of Telia Carrier's sold services during delivery stage.
Generic role description for an IP Configuration Engineer:
Your main task will be to configure Telia Carrier Sold Services with high quality and in a timely manner. You will use existing guidelines and standards, which are already in place, to support you during your day-to-day task, and furthermore, you will actively work with other units within the Service Delivery department, our customers, and sub-contractors alike when it comes to testing and bringing services into service. There is also a need to use internal support and inventory systems, which you need to keep up to date. You will also be involved when it comes to setting process and system improvements; and you will always be encouraged to make recommendations as you see fit.
Day to Day tasks
Prepare, create and verify all IP Router and Switch configurations as well as Layer 3 CPE and NID configurations according to preexisting configuration templates for Telia Carrier services.
Document and update all required support systems with high quality
Set-up of customer traffic measurements
Support customers and field engineers with patching and bring-into-service testing
Perform migrations, testing, and activations of services in cooperation with customers if required also outside normal working hours
Perform Ready for Service test (RFC2544 or Y.1564) and adequately analyze test results
Prepare configuration for router and switch migrations
Provide expert competence to customers and other internal parties as required
Send documentation according to Telia Carrier's Delivery process to customers
Actively involve in making process, and system improvements; and make recommendations
Customer / internal meetings (physical, video or phone): be able to run a structured meeting and provide clear feedback.

You have previous experience working as an IP Network Engineer or related

You are currently living in Sweden.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an IP Network Engineer
Essential to have very good understanding and practical experience in configuration and troubleshooting of the following technologies: IPv4 and IPv6 routing, BGP & MPLS, Carrier Ethernet 2.0, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN, HSRP & VRRP
Very good working experience in either of the following operating systems: CISCO IOS, Juniper JUNOS, or Arista EOS.
Good to have previous experience in VoIP, IPX, IPSec, Optical Networking, Fiber, DWDM
Experience in Network inventory and workflow systems (SalesForce.com)
CCNP/JNCIS certification or higher
EDUCATION
Post-secondary education/university degree is good to have but not essential
MEF 2.0 Metro Ethernet Forum Certification would be advantageous but not essential
This is an 18 months consultant contract.
