Business Sweden was founded on the first of January 2013 by a merger of the Swedish Trade Council and Invest Sweden. Business Sweden is owned by the Swedish Government and the business sector, which is represented by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swedish Foreign Trade Association. The shared ownership increases the extension of the network and contacts on all levels.
Today, around 500 people work at Business Sweden, of which more than 100 have Sweden as their primary work base. Business Sweden has great knowledge and experience in international markets and questions regarding expansion such as internationalisation, language and business culture. With all of this and an extensive network Business Sweden offers to shorten the time to market and increase the return on investment for Swedish as well as international companies.
Dina arbetsuppgifterIn the role as Investment Advisor, you work in a smaller team that is responsible for Sweden's Inward Investment Promotion. You will use your expertise and network to encourage that the world's leading Life Science-companies chose to establish their business in Sweden. Furthermore, you will provide your strategic investment advisory to make their establishment on the Swedish market as efficient as possible. You will help the companies find the right stakeholders and to identify potential business opportunities in Sweden. You will also ensure that the company have the right knowledge regarding the pharmaceutical sector, in- and out licencing as well as business development within the Life Science industry. You will work closely with your collages in the team at Business Sweden to help build a world class advisory organisation in Sweden.
The work days and work tasks will vary. You will work with regional partners in Sweden, directly with decision-makers within the world's leading Life Science companies as well as with your colleagues that are also working within the Life Science sector. You will have several on-going projects that will leap over a more extended period. The role will entail everything from preparatory activities to organising and hosting potential investors from all around the world, and continuous follow ups. The role will also include travelling.
Kvalifikationer• Academic Education on Master Level, preferentially a Master in Science or Economics, preferably within Life Science.
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience within professional advisory or commercial business development - within or with focus on Life Science companies.
• Meritorious with direct experience from the pharmaceutical industry, MedTech, Biotech or Digital Health.
• Experience of working internationally
• Fluent in Swedish as well as English (verbally and written)
To fit in this position, you are passionate about business development and questions regarding expansion. You have a substantial understanding of, and an analytical approach to, business challenges. You enjoy networking and to attend and interact in social events. You are goal-oriented and have the ability to independently move your work forward and have the capacity to work with several projects at the same time. You are proficient in sharing your ideas and comfortable in simply explaining complex facts in a simple way.
