hela Sverige To Group Internal Control we are now looking for an Internal Control advisor with a strong financial reporting and accounting risk interest.
Group Internal Control is part of Group Finance and Internal Control department is responsible for maintaining and developing control requirements related to financial reporting. Furthermore the department is responsible for the Volvo Group Internal Control programme, which is a yearly program evaluating the control environment related to financial reporting. The result of this program is reported to AB Volvo management and Audit Committee. The function is also involved in internal control/governance projects on group, regional and local level.
The Internal Control department works in close cooperation with the Accounting & Company Control function as well as business management teams and other corporate functions.
Job Description:
The Internal Control Advisor is responsible for ensuring the implementation, follow up and support of transactional internal controls within the Financial Reporting core processes. The IC Advisor supports regional and local management, through assessments and test of the existing internal controls, to secure a correct level of internal control to enable complete, accurate and valid Financial Reporting. Focus is on central solutions and Global/Regional SSC.
The Internal Control Advisor supports regional and local management with awareness, interpretation and implementation of Volvo Group policies and directives related to internal control and secures the overall control environment.
Main activities and tasks for this position will be:
• Support management in identifying which requirements (in VICS) are applicable to the respective process
• Support management in designing activities that meets the requirements in VICS (best practice, tools etc.)
• Drive evaluation work based on evaluation scope - evaluate design and test operating effectiveness (activities are done as designed)
• Provide input to updates in control requirements (VICS)
• Interface to Accounting & Company Control, Country Management teams and business management
• Lead and drive internal control awareness trainings
The position will be based in Göteborg, Sweden, and will include travelling within the region.

Qualifications:
• Business degree, preferably an accounting major or similar
• At least 5 years' experience within a financial reporting function or an audit firm
• Strong accounting knowledge is an advantage
• Experience from audit firm is an advantage
• SAP R3 and/or BCS knowledge is an advantage
• Good at building network, internally and externally
• Self-motivated and ability to take initiatives
• Ability to drive activities independently
• Ability to lead and drive change
• Excellent communication skills.
• Energetic with a drive to improve
