JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Intellectual Property Rights team at the Corporate Headquarters in Lund, Sweden. This position will help manage the trademark portfolio and assist and support Patent Engineers and Attorneys in other IP matters.
As paralegal you will manage matters relating to coordination and maintenance of our trademark portfolio, and implementation of our global trademark strategy. You will also prepare summaries and make recommendations and prepare instructions to file trademark applications and renewals. Furthermore you will administer databases and spreadsheets in connection to application and prosecution of patents.
You will communicate and advice colleagues, correspond with foreign external counsels as needed in regards to trademarks and patents. You will assist in training of colleagues on legal and business aspects of trademarks and patents.
Apart from the above mentioned tasks it will be your job to:
• Handling deadlines and follow-up on time schedules
• Conducting preliminary trademark searches
• Filing trademark applications throughout the world
with external counsels; managing internal databases
• Corresponding with agents and attorneys in connection
with conflict matters
• Driving evidence gathering
• Review of marketing materials
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Axis is looking for a structured and multitasking individual with the ability to work unsupervised and to take own initiatives. In order to thrive in this position we believe that you are passionate about Intellectual Property Rights, you like administration and have an excellent attention to details. We believe you have a paralegal education or similar legal education or solid experience from similar work at a law/patent firm or company.
Apart from this you have the following qualifications:
• Knowledge of trademark matters and patent prosecution.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal
• Time management skills
