The Role
As an Account Manager in Maersk Line’s Inside Sales department in Gothenburg, Sweden, you will be responsible for a portfolio of approximately 100-150 small and medium sized customers, which you will manage from the office. Inside sales serve customers located throughout Scandinavia, and for this specific position we are looking for a person with good knowledge of the Danish market.
The right candidate can look forward to excelling in portfolio management skills for one of the largest shipping companies in the world. You will gain hands-on business experience and have unlimited professional and personal opportunities.
The Task
As an Account Manager for Maersk Line accounts, you will create new business opportunities, increase sales and retain highly satisfied customers. You will enter into dialogue with your customers and always be at the forefront with regards to the development for their company and needs. Your main objective will be to develop volumes and revenues and as such, you will be measured on your success in reaching the set targets. Developing strong, long-term, loyal business relationships will be essential for you to meet your goals. Your salary will be in line with the market, including a variable element directly related to your performance.
Competencies
You have a solid commercial knowledge backed by strong negotiation and sales skills and you are committed to realising your objectives. Your ability to build long-term relationships and talent for maximising the value of your customer portfolio will be important to your success. Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in talking to people are part of your competencies. Since you will predominantly work with the Danish market, you must be fluent in Danish. The corporate language is English in which you must be proficient.
