Work tasks
The Infrastructure Operations Team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the global network, storage and computer platforms across all sites within the Video Services business unit, ensuring a world class service is delivered for our customers.
Experience and knowledge
* Substantial experience fault finding in complex system and network infrastructures
* Detailed knowledge of, and experience with all core VMware and Microsoft technologies from an architecture and administration perspective (AD, Windows Server & client OS's, clustering, DFS, DNS/DHCP, PKI, SQL AO clusters, PowerShell, deploying and supporting VMware platforms), and an understanding of network technologies
* Knowledge of SAN Technologies, storage hardware and configuration
* Knowledge of Backup and Restore systems, i.e. Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect(TSM)
Person Specification
* A very high standard of written and spoken English
* A clear ability to multi-task in a complex dynamic environment with regularly changing priorities to deliver results and meet customer expectations
* A strong commitment to delivering structured and detailed documentation
* Deep understanding of customer service with the ability to view systems in terms of service provision rather than discrete technical components, and should see technology as a business enabler
* Strong ownership and sense of responsibility
