Do you have an interest in mobile equipment and advanced hydraulic power distribution systems? Would you like to work in an innovative team and take part in a major technology shift? Then this could be your next challenge!
Your mission
As a Hydraulic Engineer, your mission will be to greatly support the R&D team in its journey to deliver the best and most innovative power distribution systems for underground loaders and trucks. This includes areas like safety, electrification, zero emissions, automation and performance.
The work will be mostly on project basis, and you will, together with a team of competent colleagues, be the R&D's representative regarding hydraulic power distribution systems in different product and technology development projects. Goals and targets will be achieved via continuous dialogue with colleagues, stakeholders and sub-suppliers. There will be a high focus on innovation, both from technical perspective and working methods, in order to increase efficiency and speed of development. System layout and integration, component dimensioning, selection, and adaptation as well as test bench and machine testing will be main parts of this role. The team is highly focused on developing battery electric vehicles, model-based work processes and rapid control prototyping.
Your profile
To be successful in this role, we believe you have an analytical approach, a system-oriented mindset and background within hydraulic system design, motion control or mechatronics. You should have a documented academic background within relevant areas or other qualified engineering experience combined with a will to learn.
You have a good knowledge of hydraulic power distribution components and how to combine, dimension and control them in order to find the best compromise in terms of machine performance, efficiency and controllability. You are innovative and have a continuous strive to improve our technical offering. Good collaboration skills are necessary since a large portion of the work will be in cooperation with suppliers and other departments.
Experience in mobile equipment, functional development and a general understanding of control algorithms are meritorious.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden and can be performed in a hybrid way. The exact split between on-site and remote work is up to further agreement. In case a candidate from a different country applies and is successful, Swedish local terms and conditions will apply.
