Job description
The HSE manager will coordinate all health, safety and environment activities across Scandinavia. He/She will be based in our subsidiary located in Uppsala/Sweden. As interface of the HSE department to the Service and Project Management department you will mainly provide advice on all aspects of Health and Safety and its potential impact within the company.
Your tasks are described in detail as follows:
• Implementation of the Nordex HSE-Standards within the local Nordex organization
• Preparation of local HSE-standards according country specific requirements
• Support for the local Nordex Management regarding all HSE-matters
• Support for the local Project Manager during all phases of project execution
• Performing of incident investigations, risk assessments, and definition of counteractions
• Monthly reporting of key performance indicators to the Corporate HSE Department
• Organize and perform regular safety inspections and auditing of local subcontractors on construction sites and service points
• Training and preparation of training materials for the staff on site
• Communication with the customer representative as well as authorities regarding HSE-requirements
While managing all HSE issues you will ensure compliance with all federal, state and corporate HSE regulations and requirements. Within your function as HSE Manager you will report to the country Manager and functionally to the Corporate HSE department located in Germany.
Job requirements
You should preferably hold a university degree in Electro-technical or Environmental Engineering or be a certified electrician or foreman with at least 5 years work experience at a technical/industrial company or as an HSE Engineer.
Beyond that you will have the following skills:
• Experience on construction sites, especially knowledge in wind power is a plus
• Knowledge of local and international HSE standards and legal requirements
• Ability to work in a team and self organized
• Analytical thinking and integrative working
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel
• Good knowledge of English in spoken and written
• Experience in monitoring the adherence to valid safety rules for workers and environment
