Your role
We are looking for the Manager of System Design which means that you will be Design Responsible for:
* Giraffe 1X
* Giraffe AMB
The group consists of around 15 system engineers with experiences from most of our surface based products. You are coaching and leading your group towards common strategic goals, and develop common tools and adopt processes, such as the Integrated Product Creation (IPC), to support and facilitate their work. You will promote creativity, new ideas, business thinking and cooperation.
As a manager of System Design Giraffe AMB and Giraffe 1X you will be part of the System Design and Integration &Verification Leadership Team. You will have your own individual area of responsibility, but you also interact and take part in other groups' challenges. The leadership team works closely together and each member contributes with their individual experiences and strengths. Together we are creating an engaging and including work environment and work towards our vision to strengthen our employees and increasing the level of self-governance in our teams.
Being a manager within the System Design and Integration & Verification department, also means that you contribute to the overall development of PU Surface Radar Solutions. You will have a close cooperation with the other groups within the PU, as well as with the Engineering and the Marketing and Sales departments.

What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.

Product Unit (PU) Surface Radar Solutions has global responsibility for Saab's surface radar systems, ground based as well as naval. It has offices around the world, with the largest site being Gothenburg (SE). The PU has around 100 employees.
The System Design and I&V department is responsible for System Design and Integration & Verification for our surface based radar systems. The department has around 50 employees divided into three groups:
* Integration and Verification
* System Design Giraffe AMB and Giraffe 1X
* System Design Giraffe 4A, Giraffe 8A and Arthur
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
