Job Description
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Head of Subledger in Finance Business Support/Staff Function Finance. You will be a member of the Finance Business Support (FBS) Management Team and have direct reporting line to Head of Finance Business Support
The right person will be leading a department within FBS that is performing the activities within significant parts of the processes Order-to-cash and Procure-to-pay.
In addition transfer pricing and internal charge out within Vattenfall is part of the functional scope.
You will become a member of the global Subledger Management Team and key contributor handling the central services sub processes within Vattenfall, ensuring that all outgoing and incoming invoices are processed in a timely and efficient manner with high quality and compliance to policies and regulations.
The position entails personnel responsibility for Team Managers within the Subledger department and ultimately all personnel responsibility within the department.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Responsible for continuously developing operations and processes within the department
In collaboration with Team Managers and relevant Process Managers, drives harmonisation within the department, in the interface towards the Business and in the interface towards the BPO provider
Drives compliance to policies and procedures and proactively addresses non-compliance within the finance area
Takes on responsibility to drive certain initiatives within the Finance Roadmap and reports progress to Finance Leadership Team
Responsible for operational contact with BPO provider (India) for outsourced activities within own department
Accountable for the capability and performance of the entire department with more than 40 employees based in 5 countries (Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Poland)
Manages the Team Managers within the department, develops and follows up on targets for each Team Manager and manages performance processes
In alignment with Head of FBS and HR, works with Team Managers to handle recruitments, promotions, competence development and salary negotiations within the department
Manages escalated issues within the department
Responsible for department financial & HR budget
Completes strategic planning, budgeting, management reporting and financial analysis for the department
Manages and monitors compliance to the Service Level Agreements and ensures that services are executed in a cost effective way to highest quality possible within assigned budget


Qualifications
Education
Relevant University degree (e.g. Business and Administration) or comparable experience

Functional/industry knowledge
Deep understanding of and experience from working with Subledger processes
Good understanding of the other Finance processes end-to-end

Professional experience
Experience from leadership position within Finance operations in a Shared Service organisation
Proven experience from managing experienced employees in leadership roles
Experience from working with process development and optimisation
Full professional proficiency in English.

Personal skills
Advanced leadership skills and ability to set up teams and manage Team Managers to deliver on agreed targets
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to create effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Solution oriented and analytical with the ability to work through complex issues and coach others in the resolution of problems
Willingness to take responsibility and full accountability for creating and sustaining a positive and effective partnership with a BPO provider.

Additional Information
Location: Berlin or Solna. Travelling will occur, mainly to Bangalore, Kraków and Berlin/Solna
