About this opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate leader for IT HW Sourcing for BA, to drive our new unit forward in the current financial landscape of Ericsson and the era of AI advancements. IT HW category will include Servers, Storage and NW appliances. This reflects an influence on Annual spend of $600Mn.
As the Head of IT HW Sourcing, you will be expected to be Category Leader - IT Hardware and will be responsible for developing and executing end-to-end category strategies for enterprise hardware including servers, storage, and networking appliances. This role will lead a cross-functional team supporting Business Applications, IT Infrastructure, and Procurement stakeholders to ensure effective sourcing, vendor management, and lifecycle planning for hardware assets management. The leader will analyse internal and external market dynamics to define long-term and short-term strategies and help team to implement. Leader is also expected to take up cost optimization initiatives, and technology standardization
Your responsibilities will encompass all IT HW suppliers present in Business Application, including major industry players and a diverse range of smaller suppliers.
• A key requirement is to also enable the unit to leverage AI tools effectively. This involves advocating for tool development and coaching your team to utilize these
tools in a structured manner. You will report to the Head of IT Sourcing BA.
• Your targets will be based on BA Sourcing cost savings for the IT HW portfolio as well ensuring all compliance targets are met for IT sourcing in the BA dimension
but also influencing MA dimension
• You will be the liaison between Business Area / Market areas / Customer units, ensuring best outcomes through Sourcing process.
• You will be required to effectively lead team with responsibility to Develop team and direct team towards achieving business objectives.
What you will do
• Lead IT HW sourcing activities within BA and be the main interface towards senior stakeholders.
• Ensure early engagement in Sourcing and Demand generation process across BA
• Identify cost, sustainability, and technology optimization opportunities.
• Evaluate internal demand, usage trends, and long-term infrastructure requirements.
• Conduct market intelligence, benchmarking, and competitor analysis to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Define hardware standards, procurement models (Capex/OpeX), and governance processes.
• Lay Down long term and short-term IT HW strategies.
• Challenge status quo and liaison with IT HW partners & Internal Stakeholders to find new sources of savings and optimized ways of working.
• Ensure MA IT Sourcing activity are aligned with Category Strategies, Sourcing Programs and Compliance requirements.
• Lead / support in IT HW Sourcing related escalations and Solve through partners.
The skills you bring
• Education: MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
• 10 Years' experience in Sourcing, IT HW knowledge will be preferred.
• Leadership skill to lead effectively team members.
• Commercial and Technical experience.
• Demonstrates superlative sourcing skills, generating fact-based Category Strategies, negotiation plans, global demand, supplier market, to drive best cost and
value for the business.
• Demonstrates a personality where Forward leaning attitude, Inclusiveness, a Team player and the possibility to see the opportunities and solutions, not
roadblocks, are key characteristics.
