Group Treasury is Volvo Car Groups internal bank and responsible for the financial risk management and cash management infrastructure. This includes all activities and risk management for funding, currency, interest rates, commodity price. Group Treasury is also responsible for all trade finance and working capital financing solutions. Headquarter is located in Gothenburg with a local treasury center in China, Shanghai.
Volvo Car Group has around 25 bn SEK in long term loans and committed facilities and we engage with around 20 financial institutions worldwide including local and international banks and export credit agencies.
As Senior Funding Manager you will be joining a dynamic and ambitious treasury team, be involved in determining the funding strategy for the Group, analysing and evaluating funding instruments and markets. This includes everything from identifying loan requirements and exploring possible solutions to negotiating terms and documentation with financial institutions. You will report to Group Treasurer.
Main responsibilities
• Leading the Volvo Car Group's global funding activities and continue the strategy to diversify funding sources
• Managing bank relationships related to the groups external funding
• Developing policies, processes and procedures in financing risk management and ensure implementation to the operations
• Ensure optimal risk management to mitigate the financial risks, interest rate and foreign exchange, related to the funding portfolio
• Managing and negotiate complex loan documentations with financial counterparts together with corporate legal counsel
• Monitoring and analyse long term liquidity forecasting and planning
• Optimising the group's interest rate net
• Leading and running different projects in order to develop Group Treasury organisation
Required qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Engineering
• Experience from a senior banking or treasury role
• Good knowledge and experience in corporate financial management
• Thorough understanding and experience of the capital markets and the products available
• Understanding of legal financial documentation
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
