Your future role
Your role will be Head of Enterprise Architecture and you will report to CIO. As Head of Enterprise Architecture your main focus will be to lead the strategic architectural work to lay the foundation for Saabs future IT solutions. You will be responsible for creating and governing Saab's architecture vision and strategy with the overarching and strategic view of the full system landscape.
Within your role you are responsible for principles and ways of working for Saab IT globally. You will have overarching responsibility within the architecture discipline to introduce and implement principles, standards and guidelines to evolve enterprise architecture at Saab to ensure efficient and stable architecture. The technology solutions and principles shall ensure fulfilment of business demands, compliance regulations and policies applicable for the defense industry such as cyber security and export control regulations.
As Head of Enterprise Architect, your main responsibilities will be:
* Create and govern Saab EA vision
* Define and execute Saab EA strategy
* Manage overarching view of the entire system landscape
* Responsible for EA road map
* Drive strategic EA agenda in relevant governance forums, e.g., Strategic IT Council and cross Business Area forums
* Drive EA agenda in the line organization e.g. CIO office, business executives and service areas
* Track and assess effectiveness in the technology and system landscape
* Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
* Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture
* Manage and govern EA standards and principles (e.g. Core, Common and Distinct)
* Create, manage and communicate EA framework including methods, tools and training
* Drive system standardization and variance minimization across Saab's global IT portfolio
* Follow up adherence to EA standards and principles and keep track on and adhere EA to global development in regulatory landscape
* Evaluate emerging trends and new technologies and applicability for the Saab group
* Accountable and responsible for Enterprise Architects reporting to Head of EA
* Drive and lead IT the different architectural review forums
You will be located in one of our locations in Alvik, Järfälla, Göteborg, Linköping, Huskvarna, Malmö, Karlskoga or Karlskrona.
Your profile
For the role of Head of Enterprise Architecture, we believe that you have some of the following skills or experiences:
* Ph.D./M.Sc./B.Sc. in engineering/IT or equivalent work experience within relevant area
* Strong technical expertise within IT architecture and EA, with good understanding in information flows and analytical skills
* Knowledge or experience of security standards (ISO 27 000, NIST, CMMC etc.)
* High integrity and strong leadership expertise
* Teamwork qualities
* Excellent communicative skills
* Business acumen and experience in strategic planning on an enterprise level
* Understanding of the interface between business and IT
* Good understanding of business and financial management
* Ability to prioritize and work with multiple stakeholders with various agendas to align EA to Saab's overall strategy
* Proficient in both Swedish and English

For the role it is desirable to have several years of experience as technical lead, architect or similar within a global organization with a complex IT environment. Meritorious for the applicant is to have successfully developed IT strategies, architectures and technology roadmaps which have been implemented into proven solutions.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
