Job Description
As Head of Communications Energy Division, you will have an important role for our division by developing, managing, and delivering communication and marketing initiatives in line with the strategic focus areas for the division and the company as a whole.
The Energy Division plays an important role in the energy transition towards clean energy with more than 2000 employees worldwide in more than 40 locations throughout Europe, Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Our experts have competence within energy production: hydro power, solar, wind, thermal heat & power, biomass energy, nuclear power as well as the transmission and distribution and storage of the produced energy. You will support the Head of the Energy Division and Business Area Management in marketing and communication needs. Additionally, you will collaborate with Country Communications Managers to develop the division's communication. You will also be part of the Communications & Brand Lead Team and contribute to the development of communication for the AFRY Group's communication initiatives and strategic themes related to the division.
Your key responsibilities and deliverables will include
Develop and execute external and internal communication plans
Manage and maintain the division's media, web, and social media presence, including creating and publishing content.
Promote and support spokespersons to build a thought leadership position in energy related topics
Produce quarterly communication executive updates to stakeholders.
Manage communication during acquisitions, integration and financial reporting.
Manage communication activities on high-profile projects in line with strategic focus areas where external media interest is expected or wanted.

You will report to the Head of the Energy Division and have a secondary reporting relationship to Head of Communications & Brand. You will also have line manager responsibilities for the Energy Communications Team.

Qualifications
You are a talented communicator with strong skills in messaging, writing, and positioning of people and businesses. You are resourceful with a can-do attitude and at least ten years prior experience of a communications role within B2B. Preferably you have worked in an international and/or an engineering/design environment and find motivation from both strategic and operative matter. Meaning you have strong planning and organizing skills and a track record of following through on commitments.
The interpersonal skills required for the role enables you to cultivate productive working relationships across the company and interact seamlessly across a broad range of individuals globally. You work collaboratively with our extended team within Energy Divisions' and Country Communications' Team to align division objectives for a global and local approach.
Formal qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree within communication, marketing, journalism, or a relevant business discipline
Professional written and verbal language skills in English and ideally but not essentially Swedish.
Other language skills would be considered a merit, but not as important as the intrapersonal skills mentioned above.
