About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Business Development to lead and scale our Business Development team at Validio. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving Validio's revenue engine, defining and executing our outbound strategy, and playing a key role in expanding our footprint across mid-market and enterprise companies globally.
You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership to create scalable, data-informed programs that generate high-quality pipeline and accelerate our go-to-market motion. As a strategic leader, you'll also mentor and grow a team of high-performing BDRs, setting vision, fostering experimentation, and building a world-class outbound culture.

What You'll Do
Own the Business Development function: Build and lead a high-performing team of BDRs; coach, develop, and inspire them to exceed pipeline and revenue targets.
Design & drive strategy: Create and refine outbound prospecting strategies targeting high-value accounts in our core verticals.
Pipeline accountability: Partner with Sales and Marketing to set ambitious pipeline targets and ensure alignment across teams on messaging, ideal customer profiles (ICP), and segmentation.
Lead by example: Roll up your sleeves to support key strategic outreach efforts and executive-level prospecting.
Operational excellence: Implement systems, playbooks, and cadences to scale our BD processes, while experimenting with new tools and tactics.
Collaborate deeply: Act as the voice of the market internally-sharing customer feedback with Product, GTM insights with Marketing, and forecasts with Leadership.
Hire & scale: Own headcount planning and hiring for the Business Development team as Validio grows.
Promote a data-driven culture: Leverage tools like Hubspot, Salesloft, and Sales Navigator to track performance, optimize workflows, and inform decisions.

We Believe You Have
Have a proven track record of 5 years' experience in B2B sales, Go-to-Market strategies, or a comparable role in a top-tier consultancy or industry-leading organization. 2+ years in a leadership role.
Proven success building outbound programs and generating pipelines in fast-paced environments.
Experience targeting enterprise and/or mid-market customers, ideally in data, AI, or ML domains.
Deep understanding of prospecting strategies, sales funnels, and CRM/data-driven reporting.
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
A collaborative spirit with an entrepreneurial mindset-you're a builder at heart.
Passion for leading high-performing, inclusive teams and developing individuals toward their career goals.

Bonus Points If You Have
Experience scaling GTM functions from early to growth-stage.
Background in elite sports or competitive environments.
Familiarity with ABM, growth experiments, and personalized outbound strategies.
Strong curiosity about data ecosystems, AI/ML trends, and the evolving data infrastructure stack.
