The Driver Interaction & Infotainment department, is part of the Electrical & Electronics Systems Engineering unit within R&D. The department is responsible for electrical systems and components in the areas of Driver Information, HMI/Interaction Engineering, Infotainment, Antennas and Connectivity. The section, Driver Interaction and Infotainment Analyse & Verification (A&V), within the department, consists of four groups. The section leads and is responsible for analyse and verification within these areas from Program start to launch.
The group Vehicle Infotainment Analysis & Verification has functional and system test responsibility of the following systems/functions; Platform (power moding, software download, system performance and OTA upgrade), Basetech for all components (serial data and diagnostics) and Audio functions. This group also have the department overall test object design and coordination as well as supplier/component test coordination as support to all design lead engineers and functional test leaders. Furthermore, there are resources for Current Model Quality supporting issue analysis from the field/market side.
As Group Manager Vehicle Infotainment A&V you have responsibility of department test objects, from subsets to test vehicles, including new development, configuration, construction, maintenance, project planning and coordination. You will be part of a management core team for the section from which you will build a network and experience of Volvo development process and work. You will also lead the Technical Meeting for the group and monitor existing projects on a holistic level to ensure results of high quality, created around our customers.
Main responsibilities
* Ensure the technical development and documentation for functions and systems e.g. test strategy design, methodology and report
* Identify and develop functional and system test strategies and requirements
* Perform Benchmark within the technical area
* Securing adequate competencies and development of the group and its employees including team and personal objectives as well as team budget
Required qualifications
* Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years' experience of development work in the automotive industry
* Driver 's license B
* Knowledge of VCC development process in general and specific the electrical development process is meritorious
* Manager experience in an international environment with fluent English and Swedish language both spoken and in writing is meritorious
