Connected Solutions is a newly established unit that will lead the development of the Volvo Group's connected solutions and supporting capabilities to further strengthen the Volvo Group position and competitiveness in the area.
Project Portfolio Management
Project Portfolio Management department is responsible for Manage and Control the complete global development project portfolio, to secure Delivery Precision and Customer Satisfaction in all deliveries together with Project Quality Assurance function.
The PPM department is also responsible for the Order Office function with the responsibility to ensure controlled and globally balanced budgets, projects and capacity management, as well as the functional responsibility for the global Project Manager community.
Group Manager for Project Management
Volvo Group Connected Solutions is looking for an experienced and project oriented line manager to drive project management function in VGCS.
As the Manager of Project Management you will lead a team of ~22 project managers and you will be an active and integral part of the daily work performed in the group.
In your role you will be a member of the Project Portfolio Management Team and report to the Head of Project Portfolio Management.
As Group Manager for Project Management, your key responsibilities are:
• Responsible for lead and develop the Project Management team in Sweden
• Responsible for develop the project management global community, ensuring consistency in project execution throughout the organization
• Work in close cooperation with the development organization and other stakeholders to ensure valid and anchored project and program deliveries
• Continuously improve project process, related methods and tools in lined with Volvo Group and VGCS Way of Working with a close co-operation with project Quality Assurance
• Actively develop Project methods and participate in the Volvo Group Project Management network
• Drive and manage prioritized projects (Volvo Group and internal VGCS), done in cooperation with Project Portfolio managers
• Based on the Project Portfolio need, secure availability of the PM to prepare the Project start-up & execution
• Drive an effective Project Execution and reach the targeted KPI's (QDCF)
• Responsible for KPI's and other performance targets in own area
• Continually grow our PM skills and competences to meet the project requirements
• Personnel responsibility (recruitments, salary setting, competence development, PBP)
