Cockpit Integration is part of the Interior department and develops the interiors of all our cars with responsibility for the complete design process from concept development to industrialisation. We are responsible for ensuring a great Cockpit area, Scandinavian luxury and safety. We lead the development of a complete cockpit into the vehicle balanced to project requirements. Our diverse group consists of some twenty persons with different competences and backgrounds.
As a GDL- Group Design Leader, Cockpit Integration, you will be part of the Cockpit Integration team. The team is responsible to secure the packaging and assembly feasibility for the complete Cockpit during the program industrialization. This is done with Cockpit Integration Meetings where the integration of all ingoing parts is virtually checked by test assemblies in different phases of the program. A close cooperation with the design engineers for all ingoing parts, manufacturing engineering and suppliers is required.
Main responsibilities
* Lead the Cockpit integration work in new vehicle programs
* Participate in securing the assembly feasibility of the complete Cockpit
* Follow up on assembly issues
* Participate in development of technical solutions
* Participate in cross-functional development teams
Required qualifications
* University degree in Engineering or similar work experience
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Work experience from Volvo Car Corporation is desirable but not required
Personal qualities
* Analytical with a structures way of working
* Result oriented and flexible.
* Self-going and a great team player
* Good communication skills
