Mölnlycke is now looking for a Global Purchasing Manager.
As a Global Purchasing Manager, you'll have a chance to make your mark in a culture based on motivation, inspiration and a drive to make a difference. The role is a key and central role within a team of experienced buyers. You will be responsible for identifying the right supplier(s) and product(s) from a pre-identified shortlist, ensuring suitability for our customers and our business, then supporting the implementation of opportunities of these new suppliers and products.
Customers are at the heart of what we do at Mölnlycke, and it will be your responsibility to;
Work with Procurement Managers within the team on Cost of Goods projects.
Support the team with identification of projects, analysis of offers and opportunities, selection of the right opportunity for Molnlycke Health Care and then support implementation.
Manage new request for additional components from already approved and validated suppliers, negotiate prices and support with the implementation.
Benchmarking current cost of components, with market prices - highlighting products and product families above market price, ensuring components remain at a competitive rates
KPI reporting in respect of (1) value of cost savings/waste removal/quality improvement (2) conversion success rate of projects/opportunities and (3) components approved for implementation.

If all that sounds appealing then here is what we would like you to demonstrate:
The role requires a good level of understanding of all procurement procedures, to be carried out in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Experience of working within, or in collaboration with, a strong procurement team in a highly regulated industry is essential, preferably in the industry of medical devices.
Ideally CIPS qualified, or working towards a professional procurement certification would be advantageous. Experience in both the theoretical and practical procurement.
The successful candidate will need to have an efficient and professional manner at all times, and will be an exceptional communicator and good at problem solving.
Your work-life balance
The placement of this position is global, therefore would be home based, although a candidate located close to offices in either Czech Republic (Karvina or Havirov) or Sweden (Gothenburg) would be advantageous
As part of the role, some travelling will be required which may include some overnight stays.
