We are looking for a person knowledgeable in product quality within manufacturing or product development, that is interested in an opportunity to make a difference by building effective processes and global, cross-functional collaboration.
Your mission
As Global Product Quality Manager you will be responsible for driving the alignment of Product Quality & Warranty management globally within Epiroc's Surface division, while focusing on increasing quality and reducing warranty costs. This will require wide collaboration and contact both internally and externally, including cross-functional as well as cross-cultural communication, teamwork and project management.
You will be reporting to VP Operations Surface Division and work globally towards our five Production Companies (PC's), where you will be an important liaison regarding the sharing of information and long-term resolution of outstanding issues. Your responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
* Developing global standardization on way of working and support local implementation of these, including developing global quality toolbox and processes.
* Create prerequisite for benchmarking and sharing best practice between local product companies through creating a global quality network.
* Setting quality targets and forecasting warranty and quality cost in the yearly planning process.
* Following up and reporting on quality KPI's locally and create a consolidated view for the division.
* With support of existing processes identify gaps and weaknesses and suggest actions and improvements.
* Supporting and tracking field quality campaigns globally.
* Provide support and advise in Product Quality questions to Division leadership, including the Global Products R&D Management team and Global Product Safety & Quality Board.
Your profile
You have an academic degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, or the equivalent through work experience. You have several years of experience working with product quality within manufacturing and/or product development, preferably in a senior position. You have experience in ISO-standards as well as project management and a broad understanding of cross-functional work in product development, industrialization, and manufacturing. Fluent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, is required.
It is a great advantage if you have knowledge in implementing ISO16949, as well as if you have previous knowledge and/or experience of our products and applications.

You have an analytical personality and proven ability to make an impact. You are enthusiastic about driving change and improvements, taking ownership of responsibilities with clear commitment and personal drive for excellence.
Location and travel
This position is based in Garland (Texas, USA) or Örebro (Sweden), depending on current location of the successful candidate. Local terms and conditions will apply. Occasional travel is required.
