We are now looking for a talented and ambitious person to take up the position as Global Product Director Electromobility within our product planning function. You will report to the VP Global Product Planning.
About Us
Global Product Planning is a team of 10 people within Global Product and Marketing.
At Product planning we keep up to date with competition, market and technology development, as well as our current product performance through direct involvement and a global network. Through a global and long term perspective we are on top of trends as well as current and future opportunities and challenges. Based on analysis and a global business perspective, we recommend direction and way forward in all products related strategic topics to the company.
GPM is a team of some 40 people including brand, strategy, product planning, service development, sales training, marketing, environment & safety.
Job Mission
As Product Director Electro mobility, you will have an important role securing that VBC for focused markets and segments has cost and performance competitive electromobility product offer.
You will in this position take an active part in setting the strategic direction of Volvo buses. You will also be one of the team to realise the plans by ordering and monitoring the development of future products to build a profitable product programme based on demands from customers and society.
Main Responsibilities
• Building customer and market knowledge including competition
• Develop and maintain BA Buses global electro mobility strategy
• Develop and maintain a strategy for charging and batteries including Volvo Group needs
• Manage a profitable product portfolio with portfolio management principles
• Cradle-to-grave QDCF responsibility for the range
• Responsible for key pre-studies and ordering of product projects
• Interface to GTT electro mobility organisation (prerequisites, budget, plans, project execution etc.)
• Drive commonality and consolidation to leverage global volume base and capture synergies
• Interface to VBC Global functions as well as market regions in matters related to electro mobility
• You will work in highly international and multi-functional network environment consisting of our Market organisations, Product Development (Buses and GTT), After Market and Production.

Required Knowledge and Experience
• Successful candidates should match the following skills and experience profile:
• Good understanding of, or interest in, current and future bus market and competition with a customer focus
• Experiences from product planning, electromobility and commercial vehicles
• Takes initiative, demonstrates confidence in their abilities, adapts well and works in a structured way
• Strong interpersonal capabilities, confidence and integrity
• Good net-worker with a holistic view and good communication skills
• University degree in relevant subjects and fluent in English
