As the cornerstone of Baseload Capital's sustainable development and utilization of geothermal resources, you will provide guidance on best practices in the geoscience efforts across the organization and its subsidiaries.
In this role, you will use your leadership skills to enable and facilitate the Power Company's geoscience teams, and track the progress of exploration, resource monitoring, reservoir management, and field development.
You will also provide strategic leadership for the global geoscience team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Ensure Baseload Capital's geoscience efforts are both technically robust and also aligned with its mission to drive sustainable geothermal energy development globally. This is achieved through systematically weigh in both business and scientific aspects in research and exploration.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Define and implement a company-wide geoscience strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
• Develop, enforce, and monitor geoscience standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure technical excellence and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure consistent and standardized exploration and resource utilization practices across all subsidiaries.
• Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies to improve exploration accuracy and resource utilization efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to subsidiary geoscience teams, building technical expertise and leadership capabilities
• Monitor and guide the exploration strategy for identifying and evaluating new resource opportunities.
• Monitor and guide the markets on the reservoir development and management strategy, ensuring sustainability and efficiency.
• an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrates a business minded perspective: actively weighs financial and scientific aspects and inserts financial and scientific assessments.

Requirements / Education / Qualifications:
• Passionate about geothermal energy and strong belief in making an impact to decarbonisation.
• A university degree in Geoscience or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a geoscientist with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in geothermal exploitation or relevant area.
• Strong proficiency and experience utilizing data analysis, research and interpretation.
• Comprehensive understanding of and experience working with laws, regulations and standards related to geothermal exploration, exploitation and drilling in at least two different markets.
• Experience using geology/geophysical software and other data and modelling tools.
• Business level English is essential as s/he will be working closely with overseas-based geological consultancies and experts, as well as collaborating with Baseload geologists worldwide.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and proven experience successfully leading, managing and coaching diverse teams.
• Superb project management skills and proven track record as a project manager.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
• Thrives in a high energy environment and at times uncertainty and changing priorities.
