As a Global Commodity Manager, you will be responsible to create, maintain and drive the deployment of Bombardier Transportation Global Supply Chain (GSC) Sourcing Strategies until supplier selection, working closely together with the Regional Commodity Buyers.
You will actively support the Bid process, negotiate the key contracts and establish frame agreements with suppliers across all Regions, and contribute and sustain the optimization of our products through best-in-class Supply Chain and Supplier Relationship Management.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering Sourcing Strategies;
• Create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies across divisions;
• Develop 'best-in-class' Supplier Base & Performance;
• Optimize supply base;
• Supplier performance monitoring and Relation Management of Global Master Vendors (GMV);
• Lead Supplier Selection during Bid phase;
• Validate Commodity Sourcing Plan with bid team;
• Manage material cost reduction activities;
• Build Bombardier Transportation Commodity Network external, cross divisional, cross functional & coerce cooperation wherever needed;
• Perform regular reviews of Strategies, Sourcing Decisions and network strategic actions;
• Ensure 2-way communication with Regions/Business Units.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
• Business Administration studies required, engineering degree would be an advantage;
• More than 10 years' experience in purchasing related role, ideally with >5 years in a strategic sourcing role;
• Management skills within matrix organizations;
• Financial awareness, experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities, target settings;
• Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role or advanced knowledge in a specialized role for the product and/or commodity;
• Fluent in English.
