The Geometry Concept & Integration department leads and carries out the geometry assurance and integration work for Concepts and System solutions cross the R&D Development units, Product Design and Manufacturing throughout all phases prior production. The department develops methods and tools relevant to the field of activity to support the future needs regarding styling, engineering practice, attributes and efficiency goals.

As Geometry System Developer (GSU) you will create and define optimized geometry systems to reach set requirements on complete vehicle in early phases of projects. By simulating in 3D and predicting, you will visualize expected outcome with decided pre-requisites on material, processes etc.

We are a team with an innovative spirit and a great experience of Geometry Assurance in which the right candidate can further develop.

Main responsibilities

• Create system description on delivery unit level showing positioning system together with tolerances.
• Predict Geometrical Esthetic and Functional Final Demand fulfillment, by simulating/calculating together with experience judgment.
• Evaluate comments and feedback from suppliers regarding tolerances and positioning system and leave recommendation on preferred supplier.
• Support the packaging team with simulations/calculations when geometrical variation needs to be considered in the packaging work.
• Follow up and secure that the positioning system has been properly documented on legal technical documentation
• Support the Geometrical Assembly Engineer in the physical verification

Required qualifications

• You have a MSc. in engineering or equivalent technical knowledge/experience
• You have experience from product development and/or manufacturing
• You are fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
• Experience in leading tasks is meritorious
