Rovio has been growing rapidly after the phenomenal success of Angry Birds and as part of the continuing growth, we will be opening a new office into Stockholm, Sweden! The Stockholm site will be focusing on Game Development and we are targeting to hire 20-30 professionals within a year. The Stockholm Studio’s –as whole Rovio’s Game unit’s- goal is to delight our fans with fun and entertaining games and for ensuring this; we cherish an innovative culture where all ideas matter. We want to make diamonds and are ready to invest time and effort for picking the raw ideas and polishing them into brilliant quality game concepts.

Along with opening the new site, we are already in advance starting to look for a motivated and collaborative Game Artists at various experience levels (from junior to senior positions!) to join the new team at Stockholm, Sweden. In this role you will create game art from initial concept to final delivery and perform duties required in making the game. You’ll be able to participate in the game design in your projects as well.

Requirements:

• Excellent vision of what looks great and ability to communicate that vision.
• Game Art experience on published projects.
• Knowledge of technical aspects of game creation is a huge plus.
• Strong 2D skills, 3D skills are a plus.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Strong understanding of gameplay.
• Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
• Strong interest in mobile and video games.

As a Game Artist you will both be an active project team member and responsible for delivering all the needed materials in time and in good quality. The ideal candidate will possess (depending on the position) at least 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international environment with similar or equivalent job description. Additionally the role requires excellent multitasking, organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills. You should also be eager to learn and apply new skills in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Excellent written and oral skills in English are essential.
