We are in the process of increasing our competence team and if you share our view of the importance of Functional Safety, we would like to talk to you. No matter where in the world you are. In this role you will be part of a successful distributed group cooperating between the different Knightec offices, with your primary location based in our office in Västerås. You will also be contributing in forming the way we work within the domain, including forming your role and focusing on the aspects that you find most interesting. As part of our initiative within Functional Safety you will play an essential role in shaping the competence area and spreading the knowledge within Knightec and to our clients.
What you will do?
You will be part of a cross-functional team, where the core part of the work will be planning and managing functional safety-related projects for our customers. You will also be involved in tasks such as creating and reviewing development processes, educating organizations, developing safety concepts, and helping our clients in achieving optimized compliance within the area. In addition to this, you will get the opportunity to participate in competence networks where you can share and gain knowledge.
The safety team works in close contact with other disciplines, such as the cyber security domain, to which functional safety too often have common or related goals. At Knightec we use edge-cutting technology to develop high-quality products that meet current safety standards, enabling us to create products that are designed for tomorrow's needs.
Your background
You hold an engineering degree in a relevant field. If you are experienced in both management and technical aspects of functional safety as well as have an insight in the challenges our customers might face, you have come to the right place. However, we are also interested in you that have an interest in functional safety and wants to develop in this area.
Furthermore we see that you might have:
• Experience in quality management
• Experience from project management or other leading roles
• Experience from safety verification and validation at system and/or component level
• Fluent in English and good communication skills in Swedish, or a strong ambition to learn
• Knowledge in Functional Safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, IEC 62304 , ISO 13849 and/or EU Machinery Directive is a plus
• Experience in assessing, developing, and improving safety-related processes is a plus
