Come and join us at CEVT and become a part of our team. We are now looking for a Function Owner in the Telephony area to help us define a new exciting Infotainment system. As a Function Owner, you will also help us transform from a traditional automotive waterfall ways-of-working to an agile environment, hence previous experience in agile transformation is especially meriting. Each individual in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate, and is expected to be able to work autonomously. For this role, you will be based at our office in Lindholmen, Gothenburg but travels to Asia may be needed.
This is what you will do most of the time:
• Own the function area for Telephony. - Facebook, WeChat, Skype
• Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, Baidu CarLife
• Wireless phone charger
• Bluetooth phone call, Bluetooth SMS
• Near filed communication (NFC)
• Be responsible for maintaining, manage, and develop assigned functions based on technology development and changed customer use-cases/behavior.
• Participate in key activities, including the presentation of vision, draft plan review, and assigning business value to function.
• Participate in the product planning, understanding the bigger picture and how these plans, when taken together, do or do not fulfill the current business objectives.
• Assess how specific systems used within a function realization, and the interaction with other systems/functions, affect assigned functions.
• Closely follow the mobile telephony market and incorporate market trends into future functionality plans, to secure market-leading functionality within the area.
• Follow-up development progress and quality status for the telephony area.
• Work closely with customers and stakeholders across organizations to make sure that the platform provides value to the customers.
• Drive and encourage a culture of data-driven decisions.
• Support the SW developing teams in quality analysis and product improvements.

For this role, we are looking for someone with great ability to drive, motivate and convince others. You are persistent in pursuing targets and making decisions, you know how to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts. We need someone that is comfortable in pushing the boundaries of what is possible to define new features and services in order to make our solutions exciting, new and breathtaking. You need to be thorough, analytical, detailed and careful. We also see that you are comfortable with ambiguity, you are a self-starter and purpose-driven and have a strong sense of curiosity. Your ability to communicate concepts and ideas to stakeholders and customers at all levels is vast. Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture, is important to us.
Required background and skills:
• M.Sc. Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Product Engineering, or comparable programs.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive system engineering and/or function ownership.
• Knowledge of Infotainment and vehicle architecture, knowledge in the Infotainment area for Telephony is especially meriting.
• Ability to learn from others quickly to then teach, lead, and apply knowledge.
• Ability to lead others, report to a project, and engage effectively in cross-functional organizations.
• Experience with car infotainment and connected services and apps.
• Experience with software architecture considerations and agile software development methods.
• Used to work in an agile and scrum environment.
• Previous experience in Android development is especially meriting.
• Experience of VCC Infotainment systems and processes is an advantage.
