Your chance to have an impact
We are seeking a Function Owner for safety functions within the safety system of our autonomous vehicles. A strong understanding of functional safety and the safety of the intended function is essential for this role. You will collaborate closely with the team to deliver innovative system solutions that integrate both software and hardware components, ensuring the safety of our customer solutions.
Your responsibilities will include delivering the system design, functional decomposition, and sub-system interface specifications. You will also break down safety requirements and support the implementation and verification processes. A key aspect of your role will be to synchronize deliveries from various implementation teams to meet the needs of the safety functions.
Your work will span the entire development lifecycle, from the early phases of development through to customer deployment, ensuring competitive system solutions that meet application needs. You will contribute to the development of technical roadmaps and system architecture, collaborating with many teams within V.A.S. All of this will be focused on ensuring that our product solution is capable of preventing human harm.

To complement our team, we believe you have few years of experience in system design with a good grasp of different safety compliance standards such as the Machine directive - ISO13849 or ISO26262 and know how to develop and design systems accordingly. Your background might be broad, but we hope you bring a relevant university degree and professional experience of functional safety in practice with a good understanding of what it takes to design, implement and release safety critical features consisting of software and hardware components with strong formal requirement.
To be a great match, we believe you have:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
* Great interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience of a function owner role or similar experience
* Experience of using functional safety standards in practice
* Experience of product development
* Software development experience in C
