dealers in technical questions. To be able to answer questions about product
problems and information enquiries as quickly and effectively as possible, the
Consultant gather data from the GM databanks, information used in prior cases
and his own practical experience. The goal is to achieve a high customer
satisfaction and to turn the ownership of a General Motors into a real
experience ! KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
• Answer all incoming calls that are presented through the ACD.
• Gathering information and data on problems .Documentation, recalls to
dealers, etc. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES .Answer
all incoming calls that are presented through the ACD. .Determine type of
call, whether information or problem solving. .Follow the established
Standard Process for questioning & responding to the caller. .Processing and
conclusion of request. .Gather information through databases, research,
manuals and contacts. .Document standard information in the database &
document the prescribed advice, information or recommendations provided to the
dealer. .Provides ongoing discussion with peers on filed product concerns.
• Seeks out technical support from Team Leader and/or Back Desk.
• Documents all product concerns & escalates to the appropriate resource as
determined in the specific work instructions. .Ensures that quality
standards are met or exceeded through example and case maintenance. The

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reporting To: Team Leader Operations Manager
SPECIFICATIONS Education/Knowledge: Apprenticeship as a car
mechanic, car electrician, master mechanic or car technician. Several years
of practical work experience in an automotive workshop or in a garage.
Experience/Skill: Effective written and verbal communication in at least two
languages, fluent minimum in either English or German. Microsoft Office
applications & E-mail. Lotus Notes. Competencies: Results
Orientation - High degree of commitment to achieving measurable results by goal
setting and implementing effective work methods. Technical Knowledge -
Advanced knowledge of automotive systems. Demonstrates ability in strong
diagnostic and trouble shooting skills. Excellent analytical abilities and
profound technical consulting services.Analytical Problem Solving - Able to use
a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problem and
evaluation of alternate solutions. Uses logic, mathematics or other problem
solving tools in data analysis or in generating solutions. Customer
Orientation - Keeping focused on the customer when making decisions and taking
actions. Communications Spoken / Written - Able to clearly present
information through the spoken and written word. Influence others through oral
and written presentations in positive or negative circumstances. Able to listen
well. Motivation and Initiative - Goes beyond the regular job
requirement to seize opportunities with persistence and limited support. Refuses
to give up even in the face of obstacles of rejection through a sense of strong
personal objectives which support the organization.
