hela Sverige Advanced development team inside Global R&D Organization for Food Preservation is looking for a talented food technologist, for a temporary replacement during maternity leave. He/she will work on new projects and features and product concepts related to food storage and food preservation. In line of work need to use and develop relevant methods and processes to improve the features and modules created.
This role is part of a team consisting of thermodynamic engineers and food scientists and physicists asked to develop new modules/systems/product concepts integrating brand new technologies, explored and optimized into new products.
Chosen candidate will also be part of the internal network on Functional compartments. In this environment you will work with our Systems Engineering team, regional product development teams, and our Global Technology Center.
In other forums she/he will be in contact with Product category, Business Area functions, Brand and Marketing, Legal, Design and Purchasing.
This position involves working in an international, multi-competence and cross-product line environment. The ideal candidate is innovative in coming up with new ideas that add value to the customer and constantly challenges the status quo, striving for a visible, measurable benefit from every action.
Competences needed:
• Education:
- Master's Degree preferably in Food Science/Food Technology. Profiles with academic background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial/Applied Chemistry are as well invited to apply to the position.
• Prefered Career experience:
- High potential fresh graduates, with right background.
- Experience in Food Industry, especially with fresh produce is considered as a plus
• Technical Skills:
- Food Science knowledge and experience of working with foods in the lab
- Microbiological knowledge
- Applied sciences and laboratory competence
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Familiarity with data collecting systems like Easyview
- Experience with pre-programmed testing and measurement techniques i.e. Labview.
• Soft Competencies:
- Passion for innovation and food science
- Creativity well balanced with hands-on approach
- Ability and desire to work in a multi-cultural, international matrix organization
- Open minded approach with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to choose right level of communication e.g. explaining scientific items to people not trained in science
- Proactivity in driving technology and product innovation activities
- Result oriented, structured and self-driven way of working
- Adaptability to new emerging needs and opportunities
- Availability to travel internationally occasionally
