hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Picsearch AB (publ) i Stockholm Picsearch are looking for a Flash expert with an emphasis on ActionScript development skills rather than Flash authoring to maintain and coordinate extensions and customizations to modules for an open source player core with support from other Flash developers and graphical artists. Development experience beyond ActionScript alone is important to provide a broad background of best software practices and enable development work in other languages.
Required skills and knowledge:
• ActionScript 3 experience
• Experience with programming languages other than ActionScript
• Strong written and spoken English
Preferred skills and knowledge:
• Proven track record of relevant work
• CS3/CS4 experience
• Experience integrating with external API services
• Academic background in computer science
• Familiarity working with bitmap and vector graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Familiarity with interaction between Flash and Javascript
• Experience developing isolated components of larger projects
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Subversion)
• Experience working in a command-line driven Unix environment
• Experience developing Flash video players
• Flex experience
• C++ and Python experience
Suitable candidates will have significant experience with ActionScript, be up-to-date with respect to ActionScript 3, and have experience with developing non-trivial Flash modules from scratch. The ideal candidate knows how to create well-designed APIs and critique existing APIs with respect to issues like maintainability, correctness and extensibility. Proven experience developing quality code with other team members in long term projects is important. Understanding of object-oriented principles is a must.
You must be comfortable with source code oriented development; development work will be happening in an open development model with version controlled source files. Professionally you are comfortable delivering to deadlines by managing your own time and priorities well. You can handle stress and are both productive and responsible. You contribute well in teams with clear communication and a positive approach to problem solving. An interest in meeting clients directly would be beneficial.
