Your mission
In this position, you play an important role in SMS's financial control and in maintaining our processes. You're overall responsible for internal controls, internal audits and external audits within Business Area segment SMS, which includes develop and drive an efficient internal control process within our organizations. You're overall responsible for financial reporting related to Sustainability reporting. Another responsibility is upholding clear accounting instructions and ensuring that the reporting is compliant with our policies and routines for financial reporting. This requires you to coordinate the implementation of well-functioning processes and guidelines and support our divisions in following the instructions. You also develop and conduct relevant training within the organization, as well as drive and coordinate the exchange of best practices and networking between our divisions. Naturally, you also participate in various other projects and initiatives within your area of expertise and responsibility, and you take part in development projects and provide support to users.
The preferred location for this position is in Sandviken. However, location in Stockholm can be considered for the right candidate. You report directly to Head of Accounting and Reporting at Sandvik Machining Solutions.
Your character
We're looking for someone with a degree in Finance and several years of experience from working in accounting, reporting or taxes, as well as previous experience from working with Internal Control, ideally within a larger organization, consulting company or audit firm. You have good knowledge of internal finance business processes and the efficiency of these processes. You're experienced in identifying operational issues as well as recommending and implementing strategies to solve problems. Furthermore, you have experience in leading global projects that affect various business processes as well as functions. As we operate in a global environment, you need excellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
