With its European headquarter in Salzbergen Germany, GE Wind has been primarily focused on sales of Onshore turbines, with planned 2011 revenues of $1.2bn. Following the acquisition of ScanWind in 2009, and the successful focus on developing product for the local market resulting in increasing new units sale Onshore the business requires more direct local finance leadership. The Finance Manager - Sweden plays a critical role in providing the on-the-ground finance support for the country/region
Essential Responsibilities
Provide analytical input and support to the Engineering team based in Karlstad
Support the organisation for new units to ensure good contract execution and cost control on contracts as signed and work together with commercial finance on new deals across the Nordic region.
Provide local finance leadership and manage relationship with Service Center as they undertake core accounting activities for the business.
Act as key point of contact and provide analytical support to broader finance team for all financial process (budget planning, financial reporting) and ensure necessary interaction takes place for business activities as they evolve.
Manage local grant and related subsidy work, provide monitoring reports and claim applications, ensuring strong rigor from a compliance perspective as well as good financial analysis.
Drive a controllership mindset across the organisation
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 6 years of experience in a financial position
Hands on, yet strategic when necessary
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in a cross functional environment
Analytic
Experienced in US GAAP and knowledgeable on local GAAP
Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
Ability to work independently while cooperate within a Functional / Matrix organization
Desired Characteristics
Extensive knowledge of GE business operations
FMP, CAS graduate
