ESS is now looking for a Facility Management Site & Building Technician for the Facility Management Division organised within the Project Directorate. As a Site & Building Technician you will support the FM Buildings team with planning and supervising ongoing maintenance of the ESS landscape and buildings. You are practically skilled but has also an ability to supervise and plan work for service partners.
Examples of scope in the FM Site & Building team are Waste management, Construction support, temporary cabins and offices, elevators, outdoor cleaning, landscaping, doors and gates.
You may also need to work with smaller construction projects and you may also assist the FM team in maintenance of the different installation systems, such as fire alarms, low voltage, heat and cooling etc.
Job description
Your main areas of responsibilities as a Site & Building Technician will be to:
• Be the contact person for contractors and service partners. Make sure they are authorized, receive work orders, risk analysis at work etc.
• Participate in meetings about measures and handle these in Buildings - for example damage to gates, cracks in floors, temporary ground storage, facade cleaning
• Plan for and receive information about upcoming scope transfers from the former construction company. (example: improvement painting, hole making etc)
• Participate in the procurement of smaller facility projects, such as replacing broken assets in the building or work lead other changes
• Have daily contact with service partners daily on site, lead and plan their work
Qualifications
We think that the successful candidate has:
• At least 5 years of experience from a construction or installation company, or similar
• Previous experience from working as a technician or supervisor within the field of above described
• Good knowledge in Microsoft office programs like Words, Excel etc
• Experience with working in multi disciplines, coordinating work across a broad spectrum of different installations
We truly believe that you have an excellent way of collaborating with people with different knowledge and background. You have a good understanding of how to coordinate work between different disciplines in a complex project, such as ESS. You are curious and well organized. You are interested in performing your own task, but also to collaborate and to help out the rest of the FM team in their different disciplines. When needed, you will be happy to assist in maintenance of the FM systems. You have a well-developed ability to listen, consult others and to communicate and document proactively.
Good oral and written English skills are necessary and good Swedish skills are a merit. A well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work are expected. You take great pride in maintaining a high level of quality in all the work you carry out.
Please note that on call/work outside normal working hours may be required.
Relocation package is not applicable for this position.
Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period
Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
