As Expert Machine Safety you are a part of Volvo Cars Health & Safety global team. Our responsibility is to secure Volvo Cars prerequisites to fulfill legal compliance and corporate strategy ambitions within work environment, including company health services and wellness program. You will report to Senior Director Health & Safety, Human Resources and be part of the Health & Safety management team.
Main responsibilities
• Global responsibility for coordinating Machine Safety regarding
• Health & Safety during the machine or equipment life cycle
• As process owner for the global process Machine Safety secure deliveries that meet corporate specifications
• Establish and lead internal networks (Global Machine Safety Network)
• Participate in networks, monitor the development of the national network for Machine Safety Standardisation, i.e. SIS and contact with authorities
• Act as project leader or participate as expert in projects within the Machine Safety area or other areas of concern
• Secure appropriate actions are taken according to laws and internal procedures when accident and incidents occur
• Secure the selection of available training within the field of Machine Safety corresponds to the identified need.
Required qualifications
• University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent in relevant area
• Experience within machine safety
• Project/process Management skills
• Fluent in English and Swedish (written and spoken)
• Meritorious is experience within manufacturing, maintenance or engineering

• Holistic view and conceptual thinking
• Business and performance driven
• A great communicator and excellent corporation skills
• Knowledge about lean manufacturing
