hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Erlang Solutions AB i Stockholm As an Erlang community manager, you will be working in a support and ambassador role on behalf of Ericsson and the Erlang Industrial User Group. You will help and connect users, providing both technical and community based support. You will monitor social media and communication channels for new users and opportunities. You will also be responsible for managing the Erlang community site, populating it with contents, building a site with enthusiastic leaders and contributors.
You will be employed by Erlang Solutions but act on behalf of the Industrial Erlang User Group. The purpose of the group is to represent the interests of Erlang users towards Ericsson, to complement the work Ericsson is doing and help spread the awareness and use of Erlang to secure its future health, wellbeing and commercial use.
Erlang Solutions is the only company of its kind totally focused on Erlang and the Erlang community, offering industry-leading research, development, training and worldwide support for businesses using Erlang.
What You'll Be Doing
Planning and executing events of all sizes and types.
Solicit and coordinate Erlang talks at conferences worldwide.
Support Erlang User Group meet-ups globally.
Act as a liaison between Erlang community committers and the OTP team.
Manage the ticket tracking system and feature requests from the community.
Manage the Erlang Community site.
Writing everything from blog posts to technical documentation.
Cultivate relationships with developers, bloggers, journalists and Erlang users.
Supporting the Erlang community in all shapes and forms.
Monitor the Erlang mailing list, IRC, Twitter, stack-overflow, linked-in, blogs etc for opportunities and new companies using Erlang.
Cataloguing and publicizing details about Erlang users and use cases.
Essential Skills
Unbounded hustle and passion (this is a big one).
Experience working in/around open source software (either via contributing directly to code, as a user, or in an organizational capacity).
Read-level knowledge of a programming language.
Excellent writing skills.
Excellent social skills.
Proficient and active in social media: active Twitter and Github profiles.
Ability to travel.
Some understanding of the main concepts in Erlang, Java, Clojure, Scala, Python, Haskell, Node.js, C/C++.
Desirable Skills
Read-level knowledge of Erlang.
Previous sales experience.
Has hosted technical meetups.
Knowledge of noSQL databases and application development.
Knowledge of Erlang open source applications such as RabbitMQ, EjabberD, Disco, Riak, CouchDb
