An exciting opportunity for the right candidate as responsible for stock management in the Scandinavian Cluster as well as daily equipment execution in close coordination with rest of the equipment team. You are responsible for assuring the most efficient usage of our empty equipment supply/demand in line with commercial requirements as well as our global equipment drivers. You will work with continuous improvement initiatives and ensure good cooperation with our internal stakeholders as well as customers, vendors, Liner Operations Cluster, Global Service Center and other Equipment functions. You will together with the stakeholders optimize equipment flows in the cluster and provide sound & clean containers to Maersk Line customers. You will be a Maersk Line representative towards suppliers and internal stakeholders and together work activley to secure delivery on both operational and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Full responsibility of equipment stock management for one of the Scandinavian countries which include cost optimization without comprimizing our commercial requirements.
• Develop close relationships with internal stakeholders in the Scandinavian organization, Liner Operations Cluster and Global Service Center to better facilitate local business needs; develop and maintain good relationships with external vendors.
• Optimize equipment flows and turntimes for the container assets for the different carrier brands within A.P. Moller Maersk.
• Initiate, lead and handle projects and improvement initiatives both within the department and cross functional.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate has a convincing personality, a sense of urgency, drive and result orientation. Proficient communicator and relationship builder with internal & external stakeholders. Solid understanding of change management and the importance of delivering on both the business and the human side in an organization.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record within Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Operations or Logistics with a strong focus on the actual service and behavior delivered. You have relevant experience dealing with logistics.
You have a relevant academic level or equivalent work experience, minimum 2 years in the transportation industry. Basic understanding of process excellence is preferable. You are able to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent English skills, verbal and written are required. Basic understanding of the Scandinavian languages is preferred. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
