Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Process Governance (BPG), applied within Swedbank as Enterprise Process Management (EPM), links strategic objectives to business operations, integrating processes across functions to support the business by providing added value and strengthen compliance with regulations.
EPM encompasses group-wide process steering and governance, promoting a structured and holistic approach for consistent alignment in daily business operations and predictive risk management.
The EPM Function is a new 1st
line group function and competence centre responsible to support:
• Business operations and Process Owners with process design and quality assurance, e.g., with process templates and tools for process documentation, including process modelling
• Group-wide process governance with independent follow-up, analysis and evaluation
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
• To define and implement governance to support alignment of group-wide process operations, i.e., an internal steering framework for Enterprise Process Management in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• To establish, maintain and implement group-wide standards, policies, procedures and best practices for process management (BPM/BPG).
• To maintain the Process Universe and Process Landscape.
• Ownership, management and support for process management supporting tools.
• To provide guidance, support and coaching for process life-cycle management, i.e., in the definition, design, implementation, monitoring and improvement of business processes.
• For oversight, follow-up, analysis, evaluation and reporting on performance, outcomes and the benefits of processes, based on aligned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• To ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• To promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by fostering collaboration, communication and learning among process stakeholders.
The EPM function is currently in an establishment phase and a transformation programme is currently being launched with the aim to review the existing process universe and carry out process mapping across the bank. In parallel work with support for day-to-day operations is also a priority.
What is needed in this role:
To be successful in the role as 'Enterprise Process Management - Senior Specialist requires a range of related skills, experience and competences, and as a minimum, the following:
• Experience from Business Process Management.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with the Financial Services regulatory landscape and demonstrated experience in applying regulatory requirements into governance design.
• Experience and understanding of how a systemically important bank operates on a daily basis.
• Strong communication skills in English, in written and spoken form - the ability to communicate and interact with many stakeholders up and down the hierarchy to present complex information in a simple and professional way and to manage expectations.
• Critical thinking, a structured way of working and a drive for continuous improvement - the ability to analyse a situation and determine the optimal course of action to support process improvement and the objectives of the EPM Function.
• Problem-solving skills and a proven analytical capacity - the ability to identify issues, develop solutions and evaluate the success of those solutions to improve business processes.
• Organisational skills - the ability to track multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to manage workload and prioritise tasks and deliverables.
• A consultative and a problem-solving way of working and excellent cooperation skills.
• To have an open team-player mindset and willingness to take on different kinds of tasks.
