Vehicle Connectivity (VeCon) is a global department within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for connected services and in-vehicle entertainment functions, within the Volvo Group. The telematics and entertainment components build a global platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo Group. We have a clear product ownership for our products, all through the lifecycle.
At Vehicle Connectivity we are in the middle of the digital transformation, and we work with implementing end-to-end functions like Driver Coaching, I-See, Remote SW Download and Geofencing. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The development in the area of connectivity is huge, and we expect to be part of the functional growth in Active Safety and Automation in a near future.

Our way of developing our products are by following the agile mindset from Scrum and Kanban. We work in cross functional teams and in close cooperation with our stakeholders. You will lead a team responsible for developing the vehicle's Telematics Gateway (TGW) hardware and low level software. The system is an integral part of our customer's product offering and the driver environment. To deliver world class products in this area we are constantly challenged to provide the best solutions in terms of feature, quality and cost. The development is done in a global environment with colleagues and suppliers from around the world.
Responsibilities
Project management towards suppliers
Support the component owners in the team
Continuously follow up the development by the supplier: development process review, time plans, deliveries etc.
Handle the communication regarding problems and changes towards the supplier
Responsible for securing timely decisions concerning changes and problems
Follow the results in the system tests and the component unitary tests
Responsible for securing that the team delivers integrated and smoke tested sub-system(s) according to plan
Report project progress to line and project management
Responsible for keeping, updating and communicating the time plan for the development packages
Represent several component owners in i.e. project meetings in larger projects
Coordinate the work and the resources within the team

Qualifications
University degree in electronics or computer engineering
Documented project management experience or equivalent experience
Experience in the SW/HW development area and preferably in the automotive industry
Data communication domain knowledge a merit, but not a must
Autosar experience is a merit
Personal Skills
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Responsibility taking personality, acts with integrity and, of course, with a result oriented mindset
Motivated, innovative enthusiastic and a positive attitude
High co-operation and communication skills
