Axis is now looking for an Engineering Manager to one of our Mechanical teams within the Research & Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this position you will manage a team of Mechanical Engineers that is part of the Base Video Products department and is focusing on new product development within Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras. The team is working in close cooperation with Electronics and Software development teams, but also with other teams within the company.
As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible for driving and developing a group of highly skilled engineers. You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:
• Long term planning, engaging in strategical discussions
• Develop the team and streamline its processes
• Budgeting
• Teambuilding
• Recruitment
• Appraisal, development and salary talks
• Coaching the engineers in the daily work
• Speaking partner in technical discussions
• Allocate resources to projects
• Promote and encourage innovation
You will report to the director of the Base Video Products PTZ-department.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a strategic and service minded leader with at least 3 years’ experience of working in a managing position. You have an educational background in engineering with a relevant master’s degree, previous engineering experience within the mechanical area and enjoy engaging in technical problem solving.
It is also important to have basic understanding of both Electronics and Software development areas to understand and cultivate the cooperation with the closest teams. Therefore we believe that you enjoy networking with both internal and external stakeholders.
You have an interest in people and group dynamics and your ability to introduce new employees and build the team will be crucial for our success.
