WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Engineering Manager at Tools you will be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled software developers and driving the team towards its goals. You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:
• Long term planning
• Recruitment
• Budgeting
• Teambuilding
• Appraisal, development and salary talks
• Allocate resources to projects
• Follow up and evaluate projects
• Run the day-to-day operations
• Speaking partner in technical discussions
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a Master’s degree in computer science (or similar) and documented leadership skills. In your past you have managed software development, either as a manager or as a project manager.
You have hands-on experience of agile methodologies and you enjoy networking with people in different positions and departments. You lead by example and you’re passionate about software development.
Experience of successfully managing different stakeholder needs or managing a service-organisation is a plus.
THE TOOLS TEAM
The Tools team is a team within the Products & Services department. The team will be responsible for developing and maintaining tools related to the Build & Release-area. This means taking an overall responsibility for the tools area regarding roadmap, development, architecture, competence and quality. The team will work very closely with stakeholders and tool area owners to build tools that will be used throughout the Firmware development within R&D, across several departments.
