The Electronics team is one part of the Electronics and Mechanics department. Electronics and Mechanics are responsible for the hardware development at Axis and are working with everything from new product development and future technologies to maintenance of existing products. The Electronics team is working in close cooperation with the Mechanics team but also with other teams within R&D as well as Operations and Product Management. Within the team we have electronics engineers and PCB design engineers with experience ranging from newly graduated to over 30 years.
As Engineering Manager in the Electronics team you will be responsible for driving and developing a group of highly skilled and experienced engineers. You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:
• Long term planning
• Allocation of resources to projects
• Follow up and evaluate projects
• Develop the team and its processes
• Budgeting
• Teambuilding
• Appraisal, development and salary talks
• Recruitment
• Sounding board for the engineers
You will report to the director of the Electronics and Mechanics department.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a driven and service minded Engineering Manager with previous team leading experience to lead and prioritize the work in our Electronics team within R&D. We believe you have an educational background in engineering with a relevant master's degree. We believe you have previous engineering experience within the electronics area and enjoy engaging in technical problem solving. It is also important to have basic understanding of the mechanics area to understand and cultivate the cooperation with the Mechanics team. You will work in a highly skilled team and your ability to introduce new employees and build the team will be crucial for our success.
